saltandtorchit:

the thing that kills me though is that Amy’s reading glasses were probably placed in this episode on purpose

as in we see the Doctor wearing them multiple times and we know he has them with him during this whole episode and the writers makes us aware of the glasses before the whole “sentimental object” thing even comes up

and yet when Clara asks if he has an object like that, the Doctor doesn’t even consider the glasses, doesn’t even mention them - giving them up is so completely out of the question that he doesn’t even waver - there is no hesitation in him, because he knows that the glasses are something he’ll never give up and so it’s not even worth thinking about

and then the episode moves on as normal

they’re showing his connection to Amy in a really sort of subtle way and I love it

film, theatre and tv buff with a tendency to talk too much about donna noble in tag form. i like a lot of stuff, especially if it includes belty awesome. at the moment, doctor who, david tennant and catherine tate have TAKEN OVER MY LIFE. also having quite a massive les miserables situation right now.
